Forests play a major role in bringing rainfall, preventing soil erosion and controlling global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide. However, due to rapid industrialization, urban expansion and illegal logging, large numbers of trees are being cut down every day. Engaging in sports, yoga, running or brisk walking for at least thirty minutes a day strengthens the immune system, improves blood circulation and boosts overall energy levels. Exercise also releases endorphins, which are natural mood elevators that help reduce anxiety and depression. Books are man’s best companions and true friends throughout life. Unlike fair-weather friends who leave us during difficult times, books remain constant sources of knowledge, comfort and inspiration. Reading good books broadens our outlook, enriches our vocabulary and develops our imaginative faculties. In the company of books, we can travel across continents and explore different historical eras without leaving our rooms. Books teach us moral values, empathy and the art of peaceful coexistence. In the digital age, while e-books and internet articles have gained popularity, the charm of holding a printed book and turning its pages remains unmatched. Cultivating a lifelong habit of reading is one of the greatest investments an individual can make for personal growth and intellectual enrichment.
